The main changes to the design solutions presented in the Third Variant Report consist of an update to the number of foundation piles of the Multiton and Lacor types, a different geometry for the abutments planned on the East and West access ramps, a different construction solution proposed for the deck structures of the ramps and, finally, the adoption of a seismic isolation system designed in accordance with the regulatory provisions of Ordinance of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers No. 3274 of 20/03/2003.
